A new life
What happens to the printer cartridges we collect from you?Upon receipt of your delivery, the contents of the collection container are sorted by waste category and the details of your recyclable printer cartridges are recorded. This forms the basis of your ‘Recycling Statement’.Other waste, such as non-recyclable cartridges, other printer consumables (such as toner bottles from photocopiers, ribbons, transfer kits, cleaning kits, waste toner containers etc.) or other kinds of waste are also sorted, weighed and recorded by weight.This means we are able to provide you with detailed analyses and reports at any time.This information has particular relevance to purchasing departments and company waste officers who are required to produce waste statements.
After sorting and recording, the recyclable empty cartridges are either forwarded toK+U Printware GmbH’s production department or sold on to third parties for reprocessing.Once they have been handed over to our parent company, the printer cartridges are initially disassembled and cleaned and then remanufactured as part of subsequent production processes.Your printer cartridge then embarks on a new life…
